BIOGRAPHY

From a $10,000 line of credit to the New York Stock Exchange.

Nate Morris is the founder of Morris Industries, a privately held conglomerate headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky. Founded in 2010, Morris Industries leverages the power of business to solve some of America’s most pressing challenges.

Prior to Morris Industries, Morris founded Rubicon Technologies, Inc., one of America’s largest waste management companies, operating in all 50 states and 20 countries. Founded in 2009 with a $10,000 line of credit, Morris served as CEO for over 12 years, leading a $2-billion-dollar transaction to bring Rubicon public on the New York Stock Exchange — one of only nine Kentucky companies to achieve that milestone in the state’s 230-year history.

Under his leadership, Rubicon was named one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company, an Industry Disruptor by Inc. Magazine, and a Great Place to Work™ five consecutive years, providing 100% free healthcare for all employees.

In 2026, Morris entered public service as a candidate for the United States Senate. His campaign earned broad grassroots and national conservative support.

A ninth-generation Kentuckian, Morris’ family descends from Morgan County, in the heart of Appalachia. Raised in a union household by a single mother and working his way through school on academic scholarships, Morris graduated from George Washington University as a Scottish-Rite Scholar, studied public policy at Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs, and earned his MBA from Oxford University.

Morris is the founder and Managing Trustee of the Morris Foundation, whose mission is to expand access to the American Dream for all Kentuckians. He resides at Commonwealth Farm in Lexington with his wife, Jane, and son, JR.
